Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Wildlife Kenya Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver guide and embark on a journey to Masai Mara National Reserve with a journey through the Rift Valley where you will have a stop at the view point to enjoy amazing views of the rift valley escarpments.
Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch, enjoy your meals at your lodge after check-in. The afternoon you will go for a game drive exploring the savannah plains of Masai Mara and enjoying incredible sightings of several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffalo, elephants, rhinos, wildebeests, warthogs among others. At sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we depart for a full day game drive in Masai Mara with your packed lunch boxes. Masai Mara National Reserve is well-known for its black-manned lions, as well as its abundant wildlife and is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five during the morning game drive.
Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get better view of prospective prey.
For bird enthusiasts, you are in for a show, the reserve is home to almost 500 species that have been recorded.
Among these 16 species of eagles, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 of bustard including the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird, and 9 species of sun birds.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Naivasha
Wake up early for breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Lake Naivasha – the highest and most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes.
At 1,910 (6200f), the water is fresh and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptian once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch, herons hide in it while searching for food.
Lake Naivasha is another popular destination for bird watching – over 400 species have been recorded. Also, it is a favorite weekend retreat for international travelers as well as the locals.
There are no crocodiles in lake as the water is too cold for them due to altitude but there are a number of hippos. Along the lake shore, vineyards produce grapes for the country’s fledgling wine industry.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha National Park – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will start the drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a game drive.
Amboseli National Park is the most beautiful park in Kenya stretching along the base of Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa with a snow-capped summit.
During the game drive you will see large herds of elephants, lions, buffaloes, hartebeests, giraffes among others. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
Enjoy a morning game drive in Amboseli and afternoon transfer to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home.
