Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Naivasha, Game drive, bird watching
On this 1st day of your 3-day Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha safari, you will be met and picked up by our driver guide from the airport/hotel/apartment in Nairobi and be briefed about your Kenya safari. Thereafter, you will proceed to transfer to Lake Naivasha, a journey that is about 2-3 hours. Enjoy the scenic drive and get to see the countryside of Kenya as you drive to the park. Once in Lake Naivasha, you will go straight on a game drive, during which you should be able to see a variety of wildlife that include among others zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, buffaloes and wildebeests. After about 2 hours of game viewing, you will proceed to the lodge, check in and then have a sumptuous lunch. Get to relax a bit before you head out in the late afternoon hours for a birdwatching experience. The birdwatching hotspot in Lake Naivasha is the lake itself, where a variety of bird species that include flamingos, African fish eagles, red-knotted coots, African spoonbills, weaver birds and so much more can be seen. Enjoy the scenic view of the lake and other animals as you do your birdwatching activity. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park, Picnicking, birdwatching
After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, your 2nd day of the 3-day Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha safari has you checking out of the lodge and transferring to Lake Nakuru National Park on a 2-3 hour drive. Once in the park, you will enjoy a game drive as you proceed to your picnicking area with very rewarding scenic sites. During your picnic, you will see a number of the park inhabitants like birds and wildlife like zebras, impalas and giraffes. Your picnic will feature a sumptuous lunch, after which you will go for a birdwatching spree, especially at Lake Nakuru, which has a very high population of lesser and greater pink flamingos as well as other birds like pelicans crab-plover and the European roller, among so many others. After you have seen as many birds as you may have wanted, you will proceed to the lodge, from where you will check in and relax as you wait for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3: Early morning Game drive, Departure
On this 3rd and last day of your 3-day Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha safari, you will wake up to an early morning game drive through the park. Early morning game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park are very good for those travellers who would like to see even the hard-to-see wild animals of the park like lions and leopards, as they return from their nocturnal activities. Other wild animals you will see include buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, impalas, hippos, and so much more. After, you will return to the lodge, from where you will have a mouth-watering breakfast and thereafter proceed for departure. Once in Nairobi, you will have lunch at a selected restaurant and then be dropped off at your hotel.
